Meet the founder
Mary Pilon is a licensed private investigator based in California. She has also been duped by a man she met on a dating app who had a secret family and exposed con artists trying to hustle her elderly relatives for money.
A longtime investigative journalist who has covered a variety of frauds, Mary realized that navigating fact from fabrication is a far more complex endeavor than it’s often made out to be.
Building on her career as a PI and reporter at The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, as well as the digging she does for documentary TV shows and films, she started Magnify PI to help the rest of us to have some access to private investigators and their tools that are used daily by Fortune 500 companies and high net worth individuals.
